Peels

When we use the term “peel”, we distinguish between mechanical peels in the form of microdermabrasion and chemical peels that use an acid.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion involves physically removing the topmost layer of skin with microcrystals. The skin is exposed to a high-speed stream of the crystals, which are then carried away by a vacuum. The intensity is adjusted individually to the patient’s skin and needs to ensure optimal results.
The ensuing ultrasonic treatment allows deeper penetration into the skin by the medical-cosmetic active ingredients as well as skin-identical substances or plant-based growth hormones which are needed to build up and supply the cells with nutrients.

Amino acid peel

These amino acids are extracted from the seeds and buds of the sugar cane plant and are the precursors to fruit acids. The amino acid peel is a surface-layer medical peel that promotes cell regeneration to improve the skin’s capacity to retain moisture. In addition, deposits in the skin are eliminated and pigmented spots lightened. The skin immediately looks smoother, fresher and younger. Advantages of peels include: slow, gradual adapting of the skin, fast results and fewer external disadvantages for the patient. To improve results, a specific home skincare regimen is recommended before and after the treatment.

Refreshening treatment (combination)

The refreshening treatment is a combination of mechanical and chemical peels. Microdermabrasion and acid peels are alternated over the course of six treatments. This treatment is ideal for tired, pallid skin and to improve skin texture and quality.
